7 Easy Eating Habits for Quicker Weight Loss, According to Dietitians

1. Add vegetables to your meals to add bulk.

2.Leave three bites behind at each meal.



The Nutrition Twins advise leaving the final three bites of your meal behind if you're like most people and finish everything on your plate. "This can save more than 100 calories at each meal, and if you consume three meals and a snack every day, this can result in a weight loss of about four pounds over the course of a month.

3 Opt for calorie-free drinks.

According to The Nutrition Twins, when we drink calories, our brain doesn't receive the message that we have fuel, therefore we don't make up for those calories the way we would after eating and instead consume just as much later.

The Twins also contend that while consuming calorie-containing drinks can result in weight gain, those with added sugar should be avoided. These drinks disrupt the hormones that signal feeling full, according to research published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. In the meanwhile, staying hydrated with naturally sweetening, sugar-free beverages like water, seltzer, or flavoured waters takes up space in your stomach and helps you avoid overeating. They also provide your body with the fluids it needs to stay hydrated, which is essential for all bodily functions, including your metabolism, to run smoothly.

4 Consume soluble fibre.
