Don't let the holidays undo all of your good weight-loss work from the previous year! The holidays are synonymous with fatty foods. Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers can last up to two weeks. Christmas will be here before you know it, followed by. New Year's greetings. According to studies, between Thanksgiving and the end of the year, people gain around 75% of their annual weight. What can you do to keep from gaining weight over the holidays?
Weight Loss is Simple
The first step in avoiding holiday weight gain is to have a healthy meal before going to a party or other gathering where food will be served. On Thanksgiving, feel free to go berserk. Your waistline will not be ruined in a single day. Fill up on healthful foods before going to any other holiday parties. Before you go to your function, eat some fruits and vegetables. You'll be less prone to eat junk food because your tummy will be full of good foods.
The second option is to divert your attention away from food. When you're at a party, focus your attention and time on the other guests. Socialize and mingle. Get a bottle of water and a nutritious snack.Talk to others and keep your mind occupied at events so that food and booze don't do all the talking for you. If they do, you'll eat and drink more, and you'll gain weight!

The third option is to stick to your weight-loss Strategic Individual Plan Action (SIPA) and exercise routine. Every day, go for a walk or jump rope! An odd slip-up won't hurt, but if you stop tracking what you eat or exercise, it's surprisingly easy to gain 10 pounds or more in just six weeks. Keep going to the gym or participating in activities like golf, tennis, or swimming if you enjoy them.
The fourth method is to consume food slowly. When your body eventually determines it's full, the slower you eat, the less you'll have eaten. Eating rapidly is the quickest way to overeat. Slowly and thoroughly chew your food.

Everything in moderation is the fifth way. This year, plan ahead. It's far easier to stay away from gaining weight than it is to lose it. Enjoy the holidays with your friends and family. It is not necessary to eat much to have a nice time. Concentrate on making healthy decisions in moderation. By making wise judgments and taking action, you may avoid holiday weight gain. This is a normal aspect of the self-control and weight-loss journey!
